In the seat of Roma Association in Oświęcim at 5 Berka Joselwicza str. you can see the new permanent exhibition called “Roma - history and culture”

In six Rooms are presented the following items:

-the origin of Roma and history of their migration to Europe, which became their homeland, the clash of cultures, which that took place as a result of contacts with the Europe’s inhabitants, the process of adapting to the local conditions as well as distinctiveness, both in relation to the Roma community and how it is perceived by its surroundings,

- tragic experience of the genocide of  Roma, made by German Nazis and their allies

- the characteristic of the Roma community in post-war-times, events and processes which led them to the present day on the example of Poland

The exhibition included multimedia projections. It is available on weekdays from 11.00 a.m. till 3.00 p.m., on Saturdays and Sundays - after prior notification.
